Resumen
Esta investigación se inserta en el área de la Comprensión Lectora y define habilidades que fomentará su desarrollo en niveles de 5to y 6to año básico.
Tras un cruzamiento de diversas indagaciones, se señalan ocho habilidades, las que fueron jerarquizadas a partir de una habilidad de menor nivel cognitivo hasta llegar a una que demande un trabajo cognitivo superior.
Para esto se propone la utilización de un manual, en el cual, a través de guías de aprendizaje, se aborde intencionadamente habilidades de pensamiento de manera activa e innovadora, donde el profesor cumpla un rol fundamental entre el desarrollo de las guías y los estudiantes. Además, este manual, puede ser adaptado dependiendo de las necesidades y realidades de los alumnos, tanto para niveles inferiores como superiores.
En este trabajo se proponen metodologías diferentes de acuerdo a los intereses de los alumnos, fomentando el desarrollo del pensamiento estratégico con una base constructivista. Así los estudiantes contarán con herramientas eficaces para comprender el mundo.
The research at hand investigates the field of reading comprehension, and defines the skills that will encourage its development in the 5th and 6th grade levels. After extensive research, eight different skills are mention, which have listed in a hierarchy from the least to the most cognitive demanding skills. This investigation lead to the creation of a manual in which, through guided learning activities, a variety of cognitive skills are intentionally brought up in an active and innovative fashion. The use of this manual, allows teachers to play a role as a mediator between the learning activities and the students. Furthermore, the manual can be adapted according to an individual's needs and it can be used in elementary as well as the secondary level. Finally, this investigation proposes different hands-on activities that fit student's interests, and encourages a high level of thinking. As a result, the students will count with the effective tools to gain a better understanding of their surroundings.
