Resumen
Este trabajo hace una descripciĆ³n detallada de la tĆ©cnica del Muro Cortina como
soluciĆ³n de fachadas en edificaciones de distinto tipo, considerando los distintos
aspectos que se ven involucrados desde su fabricaciĆ³n hasta la instalaciĆ³n.
Se hace una descripciĆ³n de las particularidades de los distintos tipos de Muro
Cortina que existen y sus aplicaciones segĆŗn los distintos requerimientos
arquitectĆ³nicos.
AdemƔs se detallan en profundidad, los distintos materiales utilizados con sus
caracterĆsticas fĆsicas y quĆmicas, la conformaciĆ³n estructural de sus partes, la soluciĆ³n
de las distintas problemƔticas que tiene asociado su funcionamiento bajo las distintas
condiciones ambientales (protecciĆ³n acĆŗstica, solar, contra el viento, contra la lluvia) y
sus consecuencias, que pueden acarrear diversos problemas en el normal
funcionamiento del Muro Cortina, como lo son: filtraciones de agua y viento,
condensaciĆ³n de vapor de agua y corrosiones de distinto tipo.
Se hace una especial descripciĆ³n de dos materiales extensamente usados en
esta tƩcnica, el vidrio y el aluminio, ademƔs de dos aspectos que tienen directa
incidencia en su correcto funcionamiento, como son Juntas y Sellantes,
TambiƩn se detallan los aspectos a considerar en el diseƱo y distintas pruebas
de laboratorio que ayudan a detectar posibles defectos en el mismo.
Finalmente, se entregan algunas directrices para evitar tĆpicos problemas que se
producen en obra al momento de la instalaciĆ³n.
This work does a detailed description of the technique of the Wall Curtain like solution of facades in constructions of different type, considering the different aspects that are involved from their manufacture to the installation. A description becomes of the particularities of the different types from Wall Curtain that exist and its applications according to the different architectonic requirements. In addition they are detailed in depth, the different materials used with its physical and chemical characteristics, the structural conformation of its parts, the solution of different the problematic ones that has associate its operation under the different environmental conditions (noise shielding, to pave, against the wind, rain) and its consequences, that can carry diverse problems in the normal operation of the Wall Curtain, as they are it: filtrations of water and wind, water steam condensation and corrosions of different type. A special description becomes of two materials extensively used in this technique, the glass and aluminium, in addition to two aspects that have direct incidence in their correct operation, as the aspects are Joints and Sealants, Also are detailed to consider in the design and different laboratory tests that help to detect possible defects in the same one. Finally, some directives are given to avoid typical problems that take place in work at the time of the installat.
