desempeños diferentes, atribuidos a diferencias coordinativas, estructurales
propias del periodo de crecimiento.
The objective of the following research was to analyse the incidence of the body somatotype on the technical performance of the push on grass hockey; among 12 players categorized; sub 14 and sub 16 from Sagrada Familia School in Viña Del Mar. The somatotype of the players of the different categories was determined through an anthropometric evaluation, so as to analyse the incidence of this on the technical performance on the grass hockey push. Twelve players of an average age of 14.1 years, and an average height and weight of 166.9 cms and 53.9 cm were analysed respectively. The average somatotype goes to the mesomorphism with a slightly tendency to ectomorphism The subjects of study while they were doing the technical performance did not present major alterations because of their somatotype. However, there were different performances as a consequence of coordinating and structural differences: these ones are common to the growing process.
