En mecƔnica, normalmente se estudia el efecto de aplicar fuerzas a un material de
determinadas propiedades. En IngenierĆa de Rocas, en cambio, se debe estudiar el
efecto de modificar la geometrĆa de un material previamente sometido a un estado natural
de esfuerzos. Normalmente, el estado de esfuerzos es de mayor importancia en
excavaciones subterrƔneas, pero tambiƩn puede ser importante para excavaciones de
superficie, donde existen muchas situaciones en que el estado de esfuerzos necesita ser
conocido, para la ingenierĆa bĆ”sica y de detalle de algĆŗn proyecto de obras civiles o minerĆa,
para resguardar y monitorear estos esfuerzos en un macizo rocoso, tendientes a evitar
siniestros geotĆ©cnicos, los cuales podrĆan llegar a tener consecuencias graves, tanto a los
desarrollos de los proyectos como en el personal que se encuentra expuesto a dichas
labores.
El presente trabajo muestra una visiĆ³n general de cĆ³mo son modelado los esfuerzos, que tipo
de esfuerzos existen y cuales son las distintas tĆ©cnicas disponibles para su mediciĆ³n insitu,
haciendo especial referencia a la mediciĆ³n de esfuerzos utilizando la eS/RO H/ eELL
La mediciĆ³n de esfuerzos en macizo rocoso utilizando la eS/RO H/ eELL, se detalla en este
trabajo, como sus caracterĆsticas tĆ©cnicas, su fundamento teĆ³rico, toda la metodologĆa de
trabajo para su implementaciĆ³n en terreno y obtenciĆ³n de resultados.
In mechanics, normally the effect studies to apply forces to a material of certain properties. In Rock Engineering, however, the effect is due to study to modify the geometry of a material previously submissive a natural state of stress. Normally, the state of stress is of greater importance in underground excavations, but also it can be important for surface excavations, where many situations in which the state of stress requires to be well-known, for basic engineering and of detail of sorne project of civil or mining exist, to protect and to testing these stress in a rocky bulk, inc!ination to avoid geotechnical wrecks, which could get to have serious consequences, as much to the developments of the projects like in the personnel who is exposed to these workings. The present work shows a general vision of how they are shaped the stress, that type of stress exist and which are the different available techniques for their measurement insitu, doing special reference to the measurement of stress utilizing the CSIRO HI CELL. The measurement of stress in solid rocky utilizing the CSIRO HI CELL, is detailed in this work, as its technical characteristics, its theoretical base, al! the methodology of work for its implementation in land and obtaining of results.
