El objetivo de la presente tesis es exponer las líneas principales de la investigación realizada cuya meta principal era conocer las Necesidades y posibilidades de autocuidado para el equipo de trabajo del Hogar Cardenal Carlos Oviedo, para esto se llevó a cabo un estudio exploratorio, de carácter cualitativo y con un enfoque de estudio de caso con valor intrínseco, el cual mediante la realización del trabajo de campo (entrevistas y focus group) al equipo de trabajo del hogar conformado por un equipo de apoyo (cuidadores de trato directo) y un equipo técnico (grupo de profesionales específicamente de las ciencias sociales).
Mediante este trabajo de campo realizado se logró reconocer en primer lugar la existencia de necesidades por parte del equipo de trabajo del Hogar Cardenal Carlos Oviedo y la Existencia de posibilidades y pretensiones de parte del equipo de trabajo de realizar prácticas de autocuidado programadas.
Por ultimo las autoras de esta investigación presentan al Hogar Cardenal Carlos Oviedo una propuesta de acción, que pretende ayudar a la organización y creación de prácticas de autocuidado programadas. Con esto las autoras pretenden a su vez fomentar la participación del Trabajo Social en esta línea de trabajo, en el crear y ejecutar prácticas de autocuidado para grupos o equipos de trabajo y no solo ser partícipes de estas.
In this thesis, our main objective was to learn the needs and self-care possibilities for the group working at the Hogar Cardenal Carlos Oviedo. The following pages will demonstrate the principal ideas as well as the results of our research. For this research we made an exploratory study, based on a qualitative approach, which focused on a case study with intrinsic value. The research took place through the implementation of the fieldwork (interviews and focus group) with the workers of the children’s home composed of a support team (direct caregivers) and a technique team (a group of professionals specialized in social science). Through this fieldwork, we were first able to recognize the existence of needs among the work carried out inside the children´s home group as well as the existence of possibilities and expectations of scheduled self-care practices for the home. Finally, the authors of this research present an action proposal to Hogar Cardenal Carlos Oviedo, in order to assist them in the organization and creation of scheduled self-care practices. In this way the participation of social work in this area will be promoted, creating and implementing self-care practices for professional development.
