Resumen
Durante años se han buscado materiales capaces de cumplir con los requerimientos ideales, tanto
para el clínico como para el paciente. Gracias a los avances tecnológicos y la búsqueda constante
de mejorar los resultados biomecánicos y estéticos de los tratamientos odontológicos han
comenzado a utilizarse nuevos materiales como el zirconio.
El zirconio ofrece alta resistencia, elevada biocompatibilidad con los tejidos blandos por su
capacidad de pulido, así como a nivel sistémico por no tener metal en su estructura, excelente
estética y ajuste al ser confeccionadas de forma maquinada sin utilizar pilares, a partir del
escaneado de un modelo con sistema CAD-CAM.
El presente estudio pretende dar a conocer el uso del zirconio como material restaurador,
también se expondrá el proceso clínico para obtener estructuras totales sobre implantes
óseointegrados.
For many years it has been conducted many researches for materials that are capable to accomplish the ideal requirements for both, patient and Doctor. Thanks to technological advances and constant search to get better results in biomechanical and stetic odontologic treatments, new materials like Zirconio had begun to be used. Zirconio offers high resistance and great bio-compatibility with soft tissues. These because it has polish capacity, systemic level (due to it's structure with no metal), excellent stetic and adecuate adjustment when it is used with a machined way, without using pillars with an scanning model with CAD-CAM system. This study intends to show the uses of Zirconio as a restorer material, introducing too the clinic process to obtain both, partial and total structures on oseo-integrated implants.
