El estudio a continuación, analiza las distintas clases y tipo de extracción de energía geotérmica, determinando la adecuada y más factible según la zona seleccionada, mediante diversos factores y recursos que se posee dentro del sector de la Región Metropolitana. La cantidad de espacio disponible, la densidad de la población, son algunos de los elementos que pueden afectar tanto directa como indirectamente a este método, si bien la energía geotérmica no es de las energías renovables más conocida y utilizadas en el país, se desea profundizar y aclarar que nuestro país es privilegiado si se habla de calidad de terreno y potencial geotérmico.
El fin del estudio es poder cubrir las necesidades térmicas de un recinto manteniendo el confort térmico, tanto en verano como en invierno, donde ocurren las temperaturas extremas.
Más que generar un ahorro energético, existen otros beneficios muy importantes con esta utilización, una de las principales, es como poder obtener una mejor calidad de vida reduciendo los contaminantes existentes en nuestro medio ambiente. Para esto, disminuir el alto consumo de las otras energías utilizadas como comúnmente son las fósiles, repercuta directamente en la mejora de nuestro entorno y específicamente la calidad del aire. Sumado a estas, siempre se mantiene en consideración, lo conveniente que es la utilización de un solo método para climatizar durante todos los días el año.
The next research analyzes the different classes and types of extraction of geothermal energy, determining the most appropriate and feasible according to the zone selected. All of that through different factors and resources that is has inside of the "Región Metroplitana" zone. The quantity of available space and the population density, are some of the elements that can affect direct as indirectly to this method, although the geothermal energy it's not the most knowest and used renewable energy in the country, it's very important clarify that our country is privileged to have a good quality of grounds and a great potential on geothermal. The purpose of this study it's cover the thermal needs to maintaining a thermal comfort such in summer like in winter, when occur the extreme temperatures. More than just generate energy savings, there are other very important benefits with this use, one of the main ones it's how to obtain a better quality of life by reducing the pollutants in our environment. Therefore, to reduce the high consumption of the another energies used it, (as commonly the fossils energies), it will have direct repercussion in get better of our environment and specifically the quality of the air. Also, it is important to considerated how convenient use the same method to air-conditioning every day of the year.
