Dado el clima de incertidumbre que se vive en la actualidad al momento de finalizar los estudios de Pedagogía en educación física básica y los constantes cambios que existen en la educación, se consideró relevante realizar una investigación para conocer el mercado laboral que se presenta en las escuelas municipales de Viña del Mar. A través de esto conocer la cantidad de horas que se ofrecen en este medio laboral y la cantidad de horas disponibles, que no están siendo cubiertas por especialistas en la educación física.
Por otra parte, esta investigación presenta la realidad de los talleres deportivos, recreativos y de actividad física que se imparten en las escuelas.
En la actualidad existe poca información por parte de las entidades escolares sobre el nivel profesional y académico que poseen las personas que se encuentran a cargo de estos talleres, puesto que en muchas escuelas municipales de Viña del Mar no son profesores de educación física los que imparten los talleres deportivos, sino que están siendo realizados por monitores, profesores básicos, tecnólogos deportivos y también por personas que no tienen una formación académica especializada en la materia.

In addition, this research presents the reality of sports workshops, recreational and physical that are taught in schools because there is currently little information on the part of school communities, professional and academic level that people have to are responsible for these workshops, since in many municipal schools in Viña del Mar, are not the same specialty hired by the establishments, who are responsible for providing these hours, if not that they are outsiders, in many cases are not specialists in the field.
