El objetivo principal del trabajo de investigación es elaborar un manual de aplicación de la geometría como apoyo a los docentes que imparten clases en el sector de matemática en los niveles N3, N4, N5 y N6, de Educación Básica, orientada al buen desarrollo de las competencias, según el marco curricular vigente. Se reviso el marco legal y los objetivos fundamentales verticales, aprendizajes esperados y contenidos mínimos obligatorios en el eje de geometría vigentes en Educación Básica en el sector de Matemática en estos niveles y partiendo de allí se elaboró el manual de aplicación de la Geometría como apoyo a los docentes que imparten clases en estos cursos.
Esta investigación es de tipo descriptivo, porque consiste fundamentalmente en la recopilación de información, análisis de los resultados de rendimiento en el subsector de matemática y formulativo porque propone la creación de un manual de aplicaciones de la Geometría como apoyo a los docentes que imparten clases en este subsector en Educación Básica.
En la actualidad los docentes carecen de un manual, ya que solo cuentan con los textos sugeridos por el Ministerio de Educación, de allí la importancia de nuestro aporte, que esta guiado a establecer un manual de aplicación de la geometría, sin pretender desvalorar lo ya existente.
Este manual constará de una parte conceptual, donde claramente se definen todos los conceptos que el docente debe conocer en este sector de la básica, también se presentará un apoyo biográfico de los científicos matemáticos y considerados como los precursores de axiomas, leyes y teoremas en el eje de geometría, así como actividades y planificaciones sugeridas como un aporte fundamental que facilite a los estudiantes su aprendizaje y les permita el logro de las competencias requeridas y así mismo a los docentes que imparten clases en Educación Básica en el sector de Matemática en los niveles N3, N4, N5 y N6., dándole herramientas innovadoras que faciliten mejorar los niveles obtenidos en relación con los esperados por el Ministerio de Educación.
The main objective of our research is to develop an aplication form instructive of geometry as a helpful tool for teachers who give classes in Primary School in mathemathics subject in levels N3, N4, N5 and N6. This textbook has been made to provide a complete competence development as the actual curricular frame shows. It was checked the legal frame and the vertical fundamental objectives, the learning objectives expected and the minimal contents obliged based on the actual geometry concepts in mathemathics subject at primary school in the mentioned levels. That point was the begining for our aplication geometry text which can help teachers who need more information about geometry. This research is a descriptive one because of it is mainly an information source moreover, it is an information collection, also, it shows the analysis performance results in mathematics subject and finally it is a proposition because it suggests the creation of a geometry aplication text as a useful tool for teachers who give classes in mathemathics subject at primary school. Actually, teachers don`t have this kind of textbook or manual. They only have got those given by the Education Ministry. That´s why it is so important to provide teachers of our new textbook. Our text doesn´t pretent to rest value to the given ministry sources. We can add that this manual is made of a conceptual part, where all concepts are clearly defined and Primary School teachers should know abaut them. Secondly, there will be a biographic source with the names of mathemathics scientists who are considered the beginners of axiomas, laws and theorems. Thirdly, teachers will be given a set of suggested activities and planifications which could help them in their geometry classes. Students would be helped in their learning process whith these activities. Finally we could say that this set of innovative tools would make easier the students learning process. Teachers might improve the expected results of levels N3, N4, N5 and N6, by the Education Ministry.
