Resumen
The use of ICTs for teaching and learning has become a relevant issue during the last decades. The aim of this study is to explore the effectiveness of a class wiki as a tool to improve writing skills and punctuation. The use of a class wiki is the unit of analysis. To this end, the research will consider 14 students, 7 boys and 7 girls from 10th grade in a private school. The methods of research consider administering a pre-test and a post-test. Within this enquiry, a wiki will be defined as a free, simple website that allows the users to create and edit content. A class Wiki could give teachers a potential opportunity to create and develop tasks-based activities that require active students' participation. The study intends to explore how a wiki might help students in their cooperative writing tasks and also intends to explore the advantages and disadvantages of using a class wiki and their possible effectiveness in improving writing skills and punctuation.
