Las familias son una de las instituciones base de la sociedad, siendo uno de los objeto de investigación histórica. Con el paso de los años se han observado grandes cambios provocando una re-significación en las familias dando paso a diversas transformaciones en sus estructuras, estilo de vida, dinámicas internas, tanto formas de comunicación y relaciones de convivencia de acuerdo a diversos procesos que la afectan. Uno de los factores que inciden en la vida familiar es el impacto e irrupción de la tecnología de comunicación e información, específicamente el uso de internet y las redes sociales (Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google+, Skype, Messenger (de Facebook), YouTube, entre otras) generando un cambio en el comportamiento de los seres humanos, tanto en la vida pública como en la privada. Con las entrevistas en profundidad realizadas se obtuvo la percepción de cada uno de los integrantes de las familias nucleares biparentales, respecto a los cambios que el uso de internet y redes sociales ha provocado en sus dinámicas familiares, convirtiéndolas en parte fundamental de la vida de las personas provocando un cambio en las relaciones de convivencia y las formas de comunicación en la vida familiar, adaptándose cada uno al uso prolongado e inmediato de las redes sociales.
The Families are one of the institutions’ base of society, being one of the objects of historic investigation. Over the years, great changes have been observed causing a re-signification of families giving way to diverse transformations on their structures, life style, and intern dynamics, both in forms of communication and in relations of coexistence according to various processes that affect them. One of the factors that affects in family life is the impact and irruption of communication technology and information, specifically the use of internet and social media (Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google+, Skype, Facebook’s Messenger, YouTube, among other) generating a change on the human behavior, both in public and private life. With the in-depth interviews conducted, the perception of each of the members of the two-parent nuclear families was obtained, with respect to the changes of the use of internet and social media has caused in their family dynamics, making them a fundamental part of people’s lives, causing a change in relations of coexistence and in forms of communication in family life, adapting each one to the prolonged and immediate use of social media.
