Currently, the demand and high vocal demand that faced the actors, forcing these, as well as playing various characters, to develop an adequate knowledge of his voice. The voice actor, corresponds to one of its main tools of work, so it becomes imperative to educate them and provide the necessary care for the full and optimum use of this. Is of utmost importance that the actor from his training learn how to monitor his vocal production, i.e., develop a proper self-perception of his voice, since with it, you will eventually get to detect if there is any unwanted vowel change during the interpretations and thus correct, thus preventing the possible development of a vocal problem. This research purpose was to compare the self-perception of the vocal of a group of students of performance of first and fourth year of the Institute Duoc UC, based San Carlos de Apoquindo. To carry this out, the vocal self-perception was analyzed a total of 32 students from first year and 22 of fourth year, without and with vocal training respectively. The instruments used for data collection was a guideline's criteria of inclusion and exclusion and the questionnaire of self-perception vowel in actors (CAVA), which includes statements related to locutivos and not locutivos of the voice parameters. The analysis of the results concluded that students in first year had on average a vocal negative self-perception, compared to students in fourth year, whose voice actuated self-perception was more positive. In terms of the analysis of the parameters locutivos and not locutivos in isolation, it was evident that students, both first and fourth year, had a vocal negative self-perception of the parameters not locutivos, moreover, it was observed that there were differences statistically significant when comparing the item's parameters locutivos between both groups, on the other hand, when comparing the parameters not locutivos between the first and fourth year students, significant differences not became apparent.
