Ecotourism as a strategy for the conservation of pudú in Tepuhueico Park is a model created to help conserve charismatic species within protected natural areas through different actions which allow generating conscious experiences for visitors but at the same time minimizing their impact on the populations of species with conservation problems. Currently Parque Tepuhueico is a private protected natural area, which in recent years has seen a considerable increase in visitors due to the presence of the smallest native deer of its genus, the pudú. However, this increase has generated exponential growth as a Park but at the same time began to present the problems of conventional tourism. Therefore, this research seeks to mitigate the negative impacts of conventional tourism as well as achieve effective conservation of the species over time, through different conservation strategies and methods. To prepare this conservation proposal, different methodologies were carried out to achieve the stated objectives, different interviews were carried out with experts in charismatic species and conservation at the national level, thus their participation represents important opinions to establish goals for the conservation strategies of the pudú in Tepuhueico Park. The data collected during the investigative process has led to a specific proposal for Parque Tepuhueico. According to the interviews, it can be analyzed that 78% of the interviewed population is willing to commit to the conservation of the Pudú in Tepuhueico Park. This degree of acceptance indicates an alignment between the proposal and the expectations of the respondents, thus strengthening the viability of the present research.
