IntroducciĆ³n: El desarrollo y expansiĆ³n de la telemedicina, ha permitido incrementar tanto
el acceso, como la calidad, seguridad y la eficiencia del sector salud. La telemedicina
posee diferentes aristas, las cuales consideran a profesionales capaces de llevar estos
proyectos adelante, en donde el trato con el paciente sea directo o indirecto es un
elemento fundamental.
Objetivo: Identificar las competencias requeridas en el perfil del profesional sanitario para
manejo y asistencia en programas de telemedicina, a partir de una revisiĆ³n de la literatura
disponible.
MĆ©todo: RevisiĆ³n sistemĆ”tica de la literatura disponible. Se recopilaron artĆculos de
diversas bases de datos, tales como Pubmed, WOS, Scielo, Medline y Epistemonikos
durante los meses de diciembre 2019 a febrero 2020; los criterios de inclusiĆ³n fueron
definidos como: artĆculos en idioma inglĆ©s y espaƱol, publicados desde el aƱo 2015 a la
fecha y con texto completo disponible, excluyendo artĆculos de opiniĆ³n, con texto
completo no disponible, ensayos, referencias bibliogrƔficas, textos de tesis y aquellos
que no pertenecĆan al periodo establecido. Resultados: De un total de 105 textos, se seleccionaron 19 artĆculos publicados desde el
aƱo 2015 los que fueron agrupados en 7 competencias y 26 sub-competencias. Las
competencias requeridas en el perfil del profesional de salud para manejo y asistencia
en programas de telemedicina son: ComunicaciĆ³n, Conocimiento, Habilidad clĆnica,
GestiĆ³n y desarrollo de relaciones AxiologĆa y legislaciĆ³n, Flexibilidad e innovaciĆ³n y
Habilidades blandas.
ConclusiĆ³n: Se identificaron 7 competencias mĆnimas que el profesional de la salud debe
tener que desempeƱar en la telemedicina. Junto con esto, fue posible verificar 26
subcompetencias que son: Fiabilidad, empatĆa, autoconfianza, interculturalidad, mejora
continua, autoaprendizaje, Ć©tica, integridad, fiabilidad, seguridad, trabajo en equipo,
interoperabilidad, gestiĆ³n de procesos, gestiĆ³n de la informaciĆ³n, gestiĆ³n del tiempo,
gestiĆ³n del material humano, capacidad tĆ©cnica, detecciĆ³n de necesidades, gestiĆ³n del
equipo, adaptabilidad, comunicaciĆ³n no verbal, comunicaciĆ³n verbal, comunicaciĆ³n
efectiva, conocimiento clĆnico, conocimiento en tecnologĆa de la informaciĆ³n y
conocimiento tƩcnico.

Telemedicine has different edges, which consider professionals capable of carrying these projects forward, where dealing with the patient is direct or indirect is a fundamental element. Objective: To expose the competencies required in the profile of the healthcare professional for management and assistance in telemedicine programs, based on a review of the available literature. Methods: The present study is a review of the available literature. Articles from various databases were compiled, such as Pubmed, WOS, Scielo, Medline and Epistemonikos. Results: 19 articles published since 2015 were selected, which were grouped into 7 competitions. The competencies required in the profile of the health professional for management and assistance in telemedicine programs are Communication, Knowledge, Clinical Skill, Teamwork and Professional Ethics. Conclusion: Seven minimum competencies were identifiedthat the health professional must have to perform in the telemedicine. Along with this it was possible to verify 26 subcompetencies which are: Reliability, empathy, self-confidence, interculturality, continuous improvement, self-learning, ethics, integrity, reliability, security, teamwork, interoperability, process management, information management, management of time, management of human material, technical ability, detection of needs, team management, adaptability, non-verbal communication, verbal communication, effective communication, clinical knowledge, knowledge in information technology and technical knowledge.
