Resumen
Ya en la antigüedad, los que practicaban un mismo oficio se agrupaban con el fin de
proteger y mantener su oficio. Con el advenimiento de la sociedad moderna las
profesiones adquirieron un marcado acento científico y tecnológico. Para un mejor
desarrollo profesional se elaboraron códigos de conducta en base a la propia
experiencia, exponiendo las normas éticas fundamentales que debían respetar los
asociados. Por su parte los ingenieros ordenaron sus normas según las diferentes
relaciones que se establecen en la práctica de la profesión. La norma general se puede
resumir en "actuar con rectitud".
Este actuar con rectitud lo tiene que mantener con los distintos protagonistas con los
cuales interactúa el ingeniero, los cuales son, la sociedad, los colegas, los trabajadores,
clientes, empleadores y por último el medio ambiente, que está sufriendo la evolución y
el progreso del hombre.
In ancient times, those who practiced the same craft were grouped in order to protect and maintain their craft. With the coming of modern society, the professions took a marked accent of science and technology. For a better professional development were drawn up cedes of conduct based on personal experience and set out the fundamental ethical norms to be respected by the partners. Engineers ruled according to different relationships established in the practice of the profession. The general rule could be summarized as "act honestly". Acting honestly has to be maintained by the various actors with whom the engineer interacts, which are society, colleagues, employees, customers, employers and at last the environment, which is passing through the development and progress of man.
