In recent times the cost of electricity and fossil fuel energy supply in an energy net importer country as Chile, has prompted the search for alternatives to the diversification of the energy matrix is a challenge of vital importance to ensure sustainable development and contribute to the mitigation of climate change impacts. One alternative to the diversification of energy sources is biomass a renewable resource forest, used in power plants and boilers as fuel, this is obtained mainly fiom waste or by-products derived fiom forestry and tirnber production processes. This project aims to study the creation of a marketing plan forest biomass feedstock preferably having piles meters fiom processes in the forest , which acquired and taken to the plant are converted into the final product are chips fuels, which are sold at local plants that demand. It is located in the sector Colonel Squadron has a chipper, machinery and ground support proportional to the movement, storage of raw materials and finished products. Operational and qualified administrative staff. The economic study turned profitable, median sensitivity to rising costs and market price variables. At the end of the project it was concluded that there are no regulations or certification of this type of product, so also in the high potential area businesses deployment and expansion of this type of renewable energy.
