RESUMEN: El presente trabajo de investigaciĆ³n ofrece un diagnĆ³stico a travĆ©s de los resultados de un estudio descriptivo del nivel de desarrollo en el que se encuentran las habilidades lectoras de 107 alumnos(as) del nivel de primero medio del colegio Domingo Ortiz de Rozas de la ciudad de La Ligua, V RegiĆ³n. Este estudio tiene como finalidad identificar y analizar el nivel de desarrollo de las habilidades de comprensiĆ³n lectora, comparando a los alumnos de este nivel, en el que fueron agrupados en aquellos que cursaron enseƱanza BĆ”sica en el colegio y los que ingresaron desde otros colegios de la zona.
El estudio busca responder interrogantes que dicen relaciĆ³n comparativa entre los alumnos de primero medio, que ingresan de otras instituciones al colegio y aquellos que tienen una trayectoria desde el nivel bĆ”sico en el establecimiento. Aplicado el instrumento, recogido los datos y hecho el anĆ”lisis, se determina que no existen diferencias que revistan importancia y que sean concluyentes; pero, si las hay a nivel general en otros aspectos.
Para el diagnĆ³stico e identificaciĆ³n de los aspectos relevantes de la realidad estudiada se usaron tĆ©cnicas cuantitativas (test) y el procedimiento se adscribiĆ³ dentro de una investigaciĆ³n no experimental, cuyas variables se observan tal y como se manifiestan en su contexto natural, para luego, ser analizadas comparativamente desde el punto de vista del diagnĆ³stico.
ABSTRACT: This research shows a diagnosis out of the results from a descriptive study on the Reading Comprehension skills development level of 107 students from the ninth grade of junior high school, attending āDomingo Ortiz de Rozas Schoolā, located in La Ligua, fifth region of Chile. The main objective of this research is to identify and analize the development level of Reading Comprehension skills, comparing the students from the ninth grade Some of them have attended this school from the primary levels and some others have just entered āDomingo Ortiz de Rozasā, coming from other schools in the area. This research aims to answer those questions which deal with the comparative differences between the students coming from other school and those who have atended it from the primary levels. After the test has been given, the information has been gathered, and the analysis has been done, we must say that no concluding or meaningful differences were found, However, some differences in general terms were found in some other aspects. For the diagnosis and identification of the main studied aspect, some tests were given, using a non-experimental research method, whose factors were observed as they were presented in their natural context. After that, they were comparatively analized based on the diagnosis.
