En el presente informe se realizará un análisis de la cualidad de los videojuegos con fines
educativos, centrándose en la educación superior, investigando sobre la gran controversia
que este tema ha tenido a lo largo de los años. El objetivo de este informe es lograr
desarrollar un videojuego como herramienta educativa para apoyar la comprensión de
conceptos físicos y encontrar los márgenes dentro de los cuáles debe crearse, para no
terminar creando un videojuego que deje de lado el objetivo educativo. Luego, con los
resultados obtenidos de la investigación, se analizará la mejor forma de desarrollo para
un videojuego con fines educativos, usando como temática principal la Física, y más en
específico el lanzamiento de proyectil o movimiento parabólico. Posteriormente, se
desarrollará como proyecto un videojuego basado en este principio físico, para aterrizar
estos conceptos de manera práctica y buscando crear un juego en el cual los alumnos
puedan comprender de mejor manera los contenidos. Finalmente se realizará un estudio
de la opinión de los estudiantes a base de encuestas, y se hará también un análisis de los
datos obtenidos y el feedback entregado, para pulir el videojuego y alcanzar una
enseñanza óptima dentro de éste.
In this report, an analysis of the quality of video games for educational purposes will be carried out, focusing on higher education, investigating the great controversy that this topic has had over the years. The objective of this report is to develop a videogame as an educational tool to support the understanding of physical concepts and find the margins within which it should be created, so as not to end up creating a videogame, leaving aside the educational objective. Then, with the results obtained from the investigation, the best form of development for a video game for educational purposes will be analyzed, using Physics as the main theme, and more specifically the launch of a projectile or parabolic movement. Subsequently, a video game based on this physical principle will be developed as a project, to land these concepts in a practical way and seeking to create a game in which students can better understand the contents. Finally, a study of the opinion of the students will be carried out based on surveys, and an analysis of the data obtained, and the feedback delivered will also be made, to polish the video game and achieve optimal teaching within it.
