The Valle del Encanto national monument located in the Coquimbo region is a tourist attraction with immense potential, but which nevertheless still requires a lot of work to deliver good tourist experiences. In order to cover this problem, it was required to apply a satisfaction survey to a group of more than 151 people with varied knowledge about the monument, and thus obtain their main preferences for the improvement of the tourism product that is synthesized in the recommendations, with the purpose of it being evaluated by the administration of the monument, La Ilustre Municipalidad de Ovalle. This evaluation, in the first instance, is due to the recognition of the problem after the active participation that was obtained from the place at the beginning of 2020, through the work associated with receiving and guiding tourists. And that later takes to inquire more about the changes that must be made in its interior: being the first one mainly related to the improvement of the condition of the trails (to make them universal) and the signage, and others like expanding the range of ecotourism activities, expanding the advertising diffusion of the monument, to include an active participation of the communities, and keep abreast of the feedback of the visitors, establishing the use of a complaints book as a guide for improvements.
