Los objetivos específicos son numerosos, pero cada uno de ellos, es imprescindible para lograr el postulado principal. Esto, quedó demostrado en el desarrollo del análisis y el resultado, donde se cumplieron completamente. Las pérdidas de agua potable en un sistema de distribución, corresponden a la diferencia entre el agua potable producida y su total facturado, éstas pueden producirse por variadas causas: mala calidad de materiales, fallas en los instrumentos de medición, o simplemente ilegalidades. Es por esto, que determinarlas y controlarlas es importante para lograr mayores ganancias. El presente trabajo es de tipo descriptivo, con un diseño no experimental transeccional. Se utilizan las técnicas e instrumentos para la recolección de datos como la búsqueda de antecedentes ya contabilizados por la empresa, mediante instrumentos especializados como: medidores de caudal portátiles, de salida de los estanques y medidores en los domicilios de los usuarios. Luego de analizar todos los aspectos detallados en la cuarta parte, se determinó que existen varios sectores con problemas. Algunos de ellos, con supuestas "ganancias" en vez de pérdidas (errores de medición a favor de la compañía); otros, con pérdidas de hasta un 47%. Algunas de las razones resultaron ser de tipo químico tanto del suelo que rodea las tuberías de asbesto - cemento, como del agua que recorre su interior. Considerando los resultados obtenidos, el autor presenta las recomendaciones pertinentes para encaminar la empresa a la solución óptima.The main objective of the present investigation is the determination and control of losses in the distribution system of drinkable water from lllapel. The specific objectives are numerous, but each one of them, are indispensable to achieve the main postulate. This, it was demonstrated in the development of the analysis and the result, where it were absolutely completed. The losses of drinkable water in a distribution system, correspond to the difference between the produced drinkable water and their billed total, these can take place for varied causes: bad quality of materials, flaws in the instruments of measure, or simply illegalities. lt is for this reason, that to determine them and to control them is important to achieve bigger profits. The present work is of descriptive type, with a design non experimental transectional. lt have been used technical and instruments for the gathering of data, as the search of antecedents already counted by the company, by means of specialized instruments as: portable flow meters, of exit of the ponds and meters in the homes of the users. After analyzing all the aspects detailed in the fourth part, it was determined that several sectors exist with problems. Sorne of them, with supposed "earnings" instead of losses (errors of measure in favor of the company); others, with losses of until 47%. Sorne of the reasons are chemical type, of the floor that surrounds the asbest-cement pipes, as of the water that his interior travels.
