El hábitat reúne las características abióticas y bióticas necesarias para la supervivencia de los organismos, existiendo una relación directa entre complejidad del hábitat, la abundancia de la fauna asociada y diversidad de especies y estrategias de forrajeo. Se caracteriza la dieta y estructura trófica en 144 individuos, pertenecientes a 5 especies abundantes de la fauna íctica submareal de la isla Robinson Crusoe.The trophic structure of organisms is an important aspect of the ecosystem as it describes how energy is transferred between different trophic levels. The understanding of the trophic ecology of the species provides insight as predator-prey interactions and how this may influences the structure of the associated community. The habitat itself meets the abiotic and biotic characteristics necessary for the survival of organisms; there is a direct relationship between habitat complexity, abundance of organism and species and trophic diversity.
