Aun así, existe poca información acerca del turismo que se realiza en la zona, y del destino Purranque en general. No hay estudios o contenido detallado acerca de la demanda, infraestructura o de los atractivos turísticos, a pesar de que se encuentren detalles de la oferta de servicios. Dado a lo anterior, surge la duda de cuál es la realidad del territorio con respecto al turismo rural y eso es lo que viene resolver esta investigación, y para llevar a cabo el estudio fue necesario el uso de múltiples metodologías aplicadas directamente a prestadores de servicios turísticos, actores clave del turismo rural, habitantes de la zona rural de la comuna y administradores de servicios de alojamiento. Loa resultados indican que la Comuna de Purranque cuenta con todos los componentes necesarios de un sistema turístico que funciona perfecto para el desarrollo del turismo rural en la zona, pero que la infraestructura, la informalidad de servicios turísticos y la poca constancia en la difusión es algo que juega en contra.Purranque is a Chilean commune located in the tenth region of Los Lagos that has various rural-tourism projects due to its natural beauty and traditions. Even so, there is little information about the tourism that takes place in the área and the Purranque destination over all. Given the above the question arises as to what the reality of the territory is with respect to rural tourism. And that is what this research will solve, To carry out the study it was necessary to use multiple methodologies applied directly to tourism service providers, key players in rural tourism, inhabitants of the rural area of the town and accommodation services administrators.
