This care can be hampered by problems of communication and responsiveness to the demands for care, generating anxiety in caregivers when making decisions, a barrier that has been minimized with the incorporation of modern technologies. In this update, we present an analysis and reflection on the implementation of technology as a tool at the service of caregivers of children with special needs, based on the existing applicability in palliative care. © 2022, Sociedad Chilena de Pediatria.
