Estabilización y control de polvo con bischofita (cloruro de magnesio hexahidratado)

Abstract

RESUMEN: El presente trabajo detalla el Uso del Cloruro de Magnesio Hexahidratado como agente estabilizador de caminos rurales y control de polvo en nuestro país. La Bischofita como comercialmente se conoce, es aplicada en áreas mineras y agrícolas siendo una alternativa muchas veces más económicas sobre otras en el mercado. Este producto se diluye en el agua de amasado y se mezcla con los materiales pétreos para conformar una capa granular debidamente compactada logrando su estabilización. Se entrega información técnica para la ejecución de esta faena, siendo similar a la de un estabilizado común, y teniendo presente aspectos climáticos predominantes de la región como también la calidad del suelo. Además, se incluye la experiencia realizada por el DICTUC de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile utilizando el equipo Dutsmate, permitiendo evaluar las emisiones de polvo con distintos tratamientos.
