In spite of the high levels of obesity in our population, 1 have seen the necessity to study the principal reasons of this disease. The high rate of infantile obesity, accompanied of a sedentary lifestyle, reverberate later in the adolescence and in the adulthood, being cause of other high risk diseases. These high levels of obesity are closely related with a high body mass index (IMC), a high percentage of fat in the body, as well the obesity is related with bad eating habits, consuming not recommended and rich in calories food. Therefore to investigate this topic is that it comes to the following problem. This workshop has as aim to link the eating habits and the IMC showed by the NB3-NB4 pupils from San Pedro Nolasco School in Quillota. The results VI showed that exist a relationship between high levels of IMC and the eating habits. 1 could prove that it is necessary to make an adjustment in the lifestyle, this is a 'group work' between parents and the educational institution (school), demonstrating good eating habits as well as to instil into a more physical activity way of life, in this way they can grow preventing them from diseases that could be mortal.
