The aim of this paper is to investigate the influence of surface treatment on sintered zirconia cores, which will be subjected to cementation with resin cement autopolymerization. The methods used were 40 blocks the production of zirconium 5x5x5 mm3. All cubes of zirconium were introduced in acrylic blocks, two for each block. Acrylic blocks were divided into two groups, an untreated surface and the other group was used silicatization treatment with 3M ESPE CoJet system. Then we used a platform in the center has a matrix so that the cement remains in the form of a cylinder on the surface of zirconium. These 40 samples were subjected to shear forces on a test machine to evaluate Bond Shear bond strength obtained in both groups. The results were that the greatest bond strength was obtained with the group of sandblasting with aluminum oxide particles coated with silica compared with the group that underwent no surface treatment, and had a significant difference in value compared to not perform any type of surface treatment (p <0.005). The importance of these results is that silicatization treatment produces greater adhesive strength on the surface of zirconium oxide when using a resin cement autopolymerization, compared to the group that received no treatment. We could conclude that it is advisable to use the silicatization in the internal structure of zirconium when you use a resin cement autopolymerization.
