observacional, analítico, longitudinal, retrospectivo a nivel individual.
técnica Queratomileusis in situ asistida con láser Femtosegundo (ILASIK).
Purpose: To determinate the variation of count, pleomorphism and/or polymegethism of endothelium cells in postoperative patients of refractive surgery. Materials and Methods: This research corresponds to an observational, analytical, longitudinal, retrospective individual level study. The surgeries were performed in Centro Oftalmologico Laser, located in Concepcion city, Chile. The final sample included 80 eyes which were divided in two groups: Group I constituted by 41 eyes, that were underwent to Photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) and group 2 constituted by 39 eyes, that were underwent to laser in situ keratomileusis assisted with femtosecond laser (ILASIK). Results: They were analyzed 80 eyes, 55% female eyes and 45% male eyes, main age 32.07 th 10.42 years. We observed no statistically significant variations in cell density (ILASIK p•0.257, PRK p=0.639) and coefficient of variation (ILASIK p4L416, PRK p).535) after both techniques studied. There was a statistically significant variation in percentage of hexagonal cells subsequent ILASIK intervention (p=0.015), but not after PRK (p=0.771). Relating to gender, there was not significant variation in postoperative cell density between men and women. Conclusions: There is no significant variation of Density and cellular pleomorphism after PRK or ILASIK techniques. On the other hand, the hexagonality cellular is increased after ILASIK.
