La ejecución de movimientos de tierra para la construcción de obras viales normalmente
necesita de la construcción de obras de retención. Una obra de contención es una
estructura que se utiliza para proporcionar soporte lateral a un talud vertical o cercano a
vertical como también él~~glJrélrJ~U,. estabilidad para ser utilizado posteriormente en obras
de ingeniería, que van desde la construcción de caminos hasta la edificación de
estructuras marinas.
Actualmente, existen variadas formas de estructuras de retención, por lo que su
utilización dependerá de las condiciones presentes en la faena de ejecución. Es por ello
que frente a idénticas condiciones, se optará por el método que exija menores recursos
(optimización de recursos). Un sistema nuevo fue desarrollado en los años setenta que
otorga numerosas ventajas frente a los otros sistemas de construcción.
Este sistema, llamado sistema de Tierra Mecánicamente Estabilizada, está compuesto
por refuerzos lineales, relleno granular y un paramento. Se caracteriza por sustentar su
estabilidad en la fricción generada entre el suelo y refuerzo.
El objetivo principal de esta memoria es dar a conocer los métodos utilizados en la
construcción de muros de contención de Tierra Mecánicamente Estabilizada como un
ventajoso sistema constructivo, a través del cual se pueden materializar estructuras de
retención para ser utilizadas como solución a diversos problemas de ingeniería.
The execution of earth movement for the construction of road works normally requires the construction of retention. A work of containment is a structure that is used to provide support to a lateral or vertical slope near vertical as well as ensure its stability to be used later in engineering works, ranging from road construction to the building of an offshore installation. Currently, there are various ways of retaining structures, so its use will depend of the conditions present for the slaughter of execution. That is why we face the same conditions, it will opt for the method that requires fewer resources (optimization of resources). A new system was developed in the seventies which gives many advantages over other building systems. This system, called Earth system stabiliser mechanism, is composed of linear reinforcements, and a stuffed granular cladding. It is characterized by its support stability in the friction generated between the ground and strengthening. The main objective of this report is to publicize the methods used in constructing embankments of earth stabiliser mechanism as a constructive advantageous system, through which it can realize retaining structures to be used as a solution to various problems of engineering.
