The present writing, of qualitative character, has the objective of describing the impact of social isolation in children with an oncological diagnosis, through the stories of family/carers and occupational therapists, in the context of the pandemic of COVID-19 in Chile. For this, semi-structured interviews were conducted directed at occupational therapists who work in childhood oncology areas, as well as caregivers, whether or not they are relatives of children with an oncological diagnosis under current treatment and/or follow-up. The analysis of these interviews was carried out utilizing a phenomenological approach, because this made it possible to investigate and describe the impact of social isolation on children with an oncological diagnosis through the stories obtained by the interviews. From these, the results indicated that the health measures implemented for the pandemic, such as social isolation and hygiene measures, were already established in the daily lives of children with cancer diagnoses and their families. On the other hand, occupational therapists in this area had to modify their way of working, such as the strong establishment of tele-rehabilitation
