Geoeducación mediante metodologías activas para potenciar aspectos geopatrimoniales de la comuna Lota para alumnos de Séptimo Básico

Resumen
La ciudad de Lota presenta un potencial patrimonial único en la Región del Biobío, el cual integra aspectos
patrimoniales culturales tangibles e intangibles. Varios aspectos de este patrimonio han sido rescatados
desde la investigación histórica, arquitectónica, sociológica y geológica entre otras, las cuales ponen en
valor diversos aspectos de este patrimonio. Por otro lado, el turismo, ha intentado además poner en valor
ciertos aspectos del patrimonio minero. Este estudio, busca explorar una faceta nueva respecto a recurso
patrimonial y su puesta en valor, asociando el sentido de pertenencia con la educación. Se integró
mediante un planteamiento sistemático y posterior inserción educativa en las aulas del colegio Instituto
de humanidades Francisco de Asis de la comuna, donde se potencio el aprendizaje de las ciencias de la
tierra utilizando las bases curriculares del Mineduc propuesta para alumnos de séptimo básico,
adecuándolas de una forma didáctica e interesante, incorporando algunos de los monumentos
patrimoniales presentes en la comuna, los cuales ornamentalmente están constituidos por rocas que
pertenecen a la Formación Curanilahue. La dinámica desarrollada logra integrar las geociencias al modelo
educativo actual, las cuales se concretaron y materializaron mediante una salida de campo en el sector
costero de dicha comuna, en donde la comunidad estudiantil logra comprender procesos de formación de
rocas y el cómo ha evolucionado el entorno geológico en donde se emplazan, así contribuyendo desarrollo
del pensamiento científico en jóvenes.
The city of Lota presents a unique patrimony potential in the Biobío Region, which integrates tangible and intangible cultural patrimony aspects. Various aspects of this patrimony have been rescued from historical, architectural, sociological and geological research among others, which are of value to various aspects of this patrimony. On the other hand, tourism has also tried to value certain aspects of the mining patrimony. This study search to explore a new face about a patrimony resource and its enhancement, associating the sense of belonging with education. It was integrated through a systematic approach and later educational insertion in the classrooms of the school Institute Humanities Francisco de Asís of the commune, where the learning of earth sciences was promoted using the curricular bases of the Mineduc proposed for seventh grade students, adapting them in a didactic and interesting way, incorporating some of the patrimony monuments present in the commune, which are ornamentally made up of rocks that belong to the Curanilahue Formation. The developed dynamics manages to integrate the geosciences to the current educational model, which were concretized and materialized through a field trip in the coastal sector of said commune, where the student community manages to understand processes of rock formation and how the geological environment has evolved. where they are located, this contributing to the development of scientific thinking in young people.
