La siguiente investigación tiene por objetivo conocer la percepción que tienen los
padres de niños y niñas de cinco años diagnosticados con Trastorno del Espectro
Autista de moderado a severo, sobre los efectos del método TEACH en la ciudad de
Concepción.
Este estudio presenta un enfoque cualitativo de carácter exploratorio, donde lo que
busca es conocer las percepciones de los padres en relación con el método y cómo
éste se ve reflejado en diversas áreas, tanto del niño o niña diagnosticado, como de
sus familias.
La recopilación de información se hizo a través de un cuestionario aplicado a 10
familias que tengan un integrante con Trastorno del Espectro Autista de 5 años y que
esté en terapia con el Método TEACH. Esto se hizo bajo tres objetivos específicos:
Identificar el impacto de este método a nivel emocional en los padres y/o tutores de
los niños diagnosticados con Autismo, reconocer la percepción a nivel pedagógico y
psicosocial de los padres en la organización del espacio dentro del hogar a través de
las estrategias del método TEACH y observar en el rendimiento escolar y dinámica
familiar la implementación del método TEACH.
Los resultados obtenidos a través de esta investigación fueron positivos, pues si bien
los padres no conocían anteriormente el método, cuando debieron integrarse con sus
hijos lograron notar, que a pesar de ser de difícil acceso económico presenta buenos
resultados en sus hijos.
The following research is focused on determining the perception that parents of five-year-old boys and girls diagnosed with moderate to severe Autism Spectrum Disorder have on the effects of the method TEACH in the city of Concepción. This study presents a qualitative exploratory approach, where what it seeks is to know the perceptions of parents in relation to the method and how it is reflected in in relation to the method and how it is reflected in various areas, both in the diagnosed child and in their families. The information gathered was done through a questionnaire applied to 10 families who have a member with Autism Spectrum Disorder who is 5 years old and who is in therapy with the TEACH Method. This was done under three specific objectives: Identify the impact of this method at an emotional level of the parents and / or guardians of children diagnosed with Autism, recognize the pedagogical and psychosocial perception of parents in the organization of the space within the home through the strategies of the method TEACH and observe the implementation in school performance and family dynamics TEACH. The results obtained through this research were positive, because although the parents did not previously know the method, when they had to integrate with their children they managed to realize that despite being difficult to access economically, it presents good results in their children.
