La situación chilena actual de pueblos indígenas, muestra limitadas oportunidades de desarrollo en esta sociedad, existe una baja tolerancia hacia estas culturas, y el escaso desarrollo cultural que poco a poco se va perdiendo con el pasar del tiempo, especialmente en el caso del Pueblo Mapuche. Es por esta razón que se hace necesario que se investigue, dejando evidencias de la realidad y experiencias que se viven hoy en día. Para ello, esta investigación se enfoca en determinar cómo la educación que los estudiantes de nuestro país están recibiendo, cómo tratan y enseñan la cultura Mapuche.
De este modo, el objetivo del presente estudio es implementar estrategias para desarrollar, gestar e inculcar la integración de conocimientos y una creciente valoración de la cultura Mapuche, a través de un programa de intervención aplicado en un Segundo Año Básico, del Colegio Santa María Mazzarello.
El material y métodos considerados, se basan en un programa que está orientado a lograr el objetivo general, mediante actividades que tienen un enfoque didáctico, logrando así, que los estudiantes sean capaces de valorar, respetar, aceptar y ampliar sus conocimientos y comprensión de la cultura Mapuche.
En relación a la muestra, ésta fue tomada de un universo de alumnos y alumnas. Los estudiantes corresponden a un grupo curso de Segundo Año Básico, siendo éste un grupo pre-experimental, de 36 alumnos en total.
El instrumento de evaluación aplicado al comienzo de las sesiones (pre-test), y finalizando la intervención (post-test), se utilizó para determinar y analizar el logro Y adquisición de conocimientos acerca de la cultura Mapuche que los alumnos de la muestra adquieren.
En cuanto a la valoración de la Cultura Mapuche, por cada sesión finalizada, se utilizaron pautas de cotejo, para determinar qué aspectos referentes fueron valorados por los estudiantes, durante el proceso de intervención del programa.
Current Chilean situation of indigenous peoples, shows limited development opportunities in this society, there is a low tolerance for these cultures, and poor cultural development gradually lost with the passage of time, especially in the case of the Mapuche people. It is for this reason that it is necessary that it be investigated, leaving evidence of reality and experiences that are living today. To this end, this research focuses on determining how education students in our country are receiving, how they try and teach the Mapuche culture. This, the objective of this study is to implement strategies to develop and instill gestate the integration of knowledge and a growing appreciation of the Mapuche culture, through an intervention program implemented on a Second Basic Year, College of St. Mary Mazzarello . Material and methods considered are based on a program that is aimed at achieving the overall objective, through activities that have a didactic approach, achieving, students are able to value, respect, accept and extend their knowledge and understanding of the Mapuche culture . Regarding the sample, the sample was taken from a universe of students. Students correspond to a group course of Second Basic Year, being this a Pre -experimental group of 36 students in total. The assessment tool applied at the beginning of the session (pre-test) , and ending the intervention (post-test) was used to identify and analyze the achievement and acquisition knowledge about the Mapuche culture that students acquire sample. Regarding the assessment of the Mapuche culture , for each completed session , matching patterns were used to determine which aspects related were valued by students during the program intervention .
