The country is growing rapidly projecting a 100% increase in urban area by 2030, which has a great impact on the real estate world and a large consumption of aggregates. This study proposes a replacement for the aggregates used in the different types of construction mortars. Different tests were performed according to the updated NCh2256of2013 in three different groups of mortars: Masonry, Overlay and Stucco with different percentages of crushed rubber, thus seeing their technical feasibility and later the prices of each of these items were analyzed to see their economic feasibility. The tests were subjected to tests of compression, flexure, adhesion and absorption, obtaining unfavorable results in resistance and greater ability to absorb water, compared to the samples that do not possess any rubber adhesion. Rubber is thirty-two times more expensive than sand, causing an increase in costs at the time of replacing aggregate with recycled rubber in any proportion. Due to the decrease in the mechanical properties of the different types of mortars and the increase in their costs, finally, only their contribution to the area of recycling and ecology is highlighted.
