planillas y check list correspondientes.
The thesis is entitled "Analysis and improvement of quality in the process of diamond drilling using the DMAIC methodology" and its objective is to optimize the quality of the process of inner diamond drilling mine, for this the DMAIC (Define, measure, analyze, implement and control) methodology was used. In the step of defining the main problem of the process that turns out to be non-compliance with delivery times due to low production of inner mine it is identified. For the measuring step was performed by two analyzes , one time and another production, they found what the sub processes that cause greater variability , defining that tool movement and installation are those that exceed their theoretical runtime rather than the other causes. In the analysis phase the root causes that generate variability in sub processes identified in the previous phase. Stage projection improvement proposals relevant for each root cause identified in the analysis phase, in order to optimize the drilling process were generated. In the development of statistical data handling capability analysis where capacity indices were measured by Minitab 17 software, also obtaining a sigma level of 1.81 and then to project the improvements increase to 2.65 it was made, decreasing variability, implying a process more focused . To keep track of proposed improvements the forms and associated check list they were created.
