El presente trabajo ofrece un diagnóstico en torno a la influencia de las redes sociales en el desarrollo de habilidades de la escritura, en alumnos de séptimo básico de un Colegio Católico particular subvencionado de la comuna de la Pintana, Región Metropolitana, quienes frecuentemente utilizan las redes sociales como medio de comunicación y expresión, escribiendo a través de signos creados por ellos, siendo estos de uso frecuente entre sus pares, en distintos contextos, escolar, personal y familiar. Está investigación tiene como propósito analizar las características del lenguaje digital y la incidencia de este en el desarrollo de la escritura de los estudiantes. La línea investigativa es de orden cualitativa y para ello se considera una muestra de 6 alumnos pertenecientes al curso en cuestión, a quienes se les aplicó una entrevista semi estructurada a través de una aplicación digital Whatsapp. El análisis de la entrevista digital describe el uso de la escritura que utilizan los alumnos al margen de la ortografía normada. Los resultados contribuirán a incorporar la tecnología (redes sociales) como una herramienta de trabajo para mejorar el desarrollo de la escritura de los alumnos.
This paper presents a diagnostic about the influence of social networks in developing writing skills in students of seventh grade from a private subsidized catholic school, in La Pintana, Metropolitan Region, who often use social networks as a means of communication and expression. They write through signs created by themselves, these being common among their peers, in different contexts like school, family and also in a personal way. This research aims to analyze the characteristics of digital language and its impact on the development of students' writing. This is a qualitative research line and it considers a sample of six students from the class mentioned previously, who were applied a semi-structured interview through a digital application which is WhatsApp. The analysis of the digital interview describes the use of students’ writing outside the normed spelling. The results will incorporate technology (social networking) as a working tool to enhance the development of student writing skills.
