El tema central de esta investigación, es indagar sobre la presencia e
importancia de la armonía funcional en el aprendizaje instrumental de la
guitarra. En el trabajo se abordan aspectos relevantes en cuanto a la
descripción, fundamento y desarrollo histórico de la armonía funcional y su
aplicación a la guitarra; la gráfica de la armonía funcional aplicada a la
guitarra; y la guitarra funcional en el contexto de la formación del educador
musical chileno. El trabajo concluye con la propuesta de un manual práctico
de armonía funcional aplicada a la guitarra, dirigido a estudiantes
universitarios de carreras musicales y para el docente de aula musical
escolar.
This thesis work is mainly focused on the presence and importance of guitar-applied functional harmony in the instrumental learning of guitar playing. Relevant aspects of functional harmony and its application to guitar such as its description, foundations and historical development of guitarapplíed functional harmony, its use in performing, graphic representation and the use of functional guitar in Chilean music teachers' training are dealt throughout this thesis work. A proposal for the development of a practica! guitar-oriented functional harmony method focused on university music students and music teachers is presented at the end of this thesis work as a conclusion from the research and analysis process
