The aim of this research work is to know the level of significant learning in the three hundred Police Officer candidates who make up the third year of their academic training process, at the School of Police Investigations "Arturo Alessandri Palma, specifically oriented to the Chair of Police Procedure ". The realization of the research is quantitative and the data collected was focused on three dimensions of the variable "significant learning" considering previous experiences and knowledge, new knowledge, and relationship between old and new knowledge. In this sense, the data collection was carried out through a questionnaire based on a closed response questionnaire using the Lickert scale, which were incorporated into a digital tool called google form, analyzed with a matrix of data from the Microsoft Office Excel program. From our investigation as a first approximation that measures the levels of significant learning, the obtained data allow us to conclude that the candidates of the School of Police Investigations, of third academic year, in the chair of Police Procedure pose a significant level of learning at the level 1 of the percentage table between 75% to 100%, considering that the dimensions experiences, knowledge and the relationship of both, are over 75% among the variables of the survey moderately, many times and always.
