Desde una perspectiva intermedial, analizaré las relaciones entre memoria y medios audiovisuales que se presentan en textos literarios chilenos recientes: dos cuentos de Mis Documentos
(2014), de Alejandro Zambra; la novela Fuenzalida (2012),
de Nona Fernández; y la novela Lluscuma (2013), de Jorge
Baradit. A nivel temático y formal, estos textos expanden,
con estrategias diversas, hacia otros medios y buscan construir
(anti)memorias al enfrentar las capas audiovisuales de la memoria mediatizada de nuestros tiempos. Con esto, la literatura
intermedial se convierte en una zona política que visibiliza las
formas tecnológicas y audiovisuales que atraviesan nuestros archivos y memorias, y el lugar que tiene la literatura entre ellos.
From an intermedial perspective, I will analyse the relations between memory and audiovisual media present in recent Chilean literary texts: two short stories from Mis Documentos (2014), by Alejandro Zambra; the novel Fuenzalida (2012), by Nona Fernández; and the novel Lluscuma (2013), by Jorge Baradit. Through their themes and formal aspects, these texts expand to other media using various strategies, and attempt to construct (anti) memories by confronting audiovisual layers of mediatized memory of our times. Doing so, intermedial literature becomes a political sphere that visibilizes the technological and audiovisual forms that cross our archives and memories, and the place that literature holds between them.
