This thesis project examines the impact of implementing a mentorship on a group of Contador Auditor (from now on Accounting) students that belong to the English General Program at a priva te university. These students ha ve different problems in terms of their development of the four English language skills and also in their communicative performance. One of the main ideas in this project is to measure if a mentorship program is able to overcome these problems to a certain extent and to improve their English level. Regarding the methodological context of this project, researchers decided to support their arguments using a mixed method design which allows them to interpret data from two perspectives; qualitative and quantitative. Before working on the project design, a research was done to find other projects that could share similar purposes; two projects, Mentoring Project in the Polytechnic University of Madrid in Spain and Perceptions of Mentors and Schemes Participating in an English Language Mentoring Scheme ata University in Hong Kong in China, were found and they helped researchers to gather general information on how a mentoring program should be done and to foresee problems that could be experienced during the process. Later on, different mentoring models were studied and used, which allowed students to experience different learning procedures. At the beginning of the intervention , there was a need for checking students' English level and for this, students sat for a diagnostic test that measured their performance on the four English language skills (speaking, reading, listening, and writing). The analysis at the end of this project showed that, students from the Accounting Major ata private university began to improve their results in the target language once the mentoring program started.
