Ítem Maximum oxygen consumption and muscle efficiency in nonprofessional youth and professional adult soccer players(Universidad de Murcia, 2023) Segales, Dulce; Cofre-Bolados, Cristian; Tuesta, Marcelo; Farias-Valenzuela, Claudio;Soccer has been described as a maximal and/or near-maximal effort sport, layered on a low to moderate intensity exercise base. The available evidence suggests that adult male soccer players cover approximate distances of 10 to 12 km during a match and 8.1 km for youth players. The objective of the study is to compare the maximum aerobic power parameters of professional soccer players and youth players. A cross-sectional correlational descriptive study was carried out, 52 adult soccer players and 57 youth soccer players participated. The results reported that the absolute maximum VO2 does not present a significant difference between adults vs juveniles; The relative maximum VO2 in ml/kgmin presents a significant difference in favor of the Juveniles; The maximum aerobic speed in km/h presents a significant difference in favor of the adults and the muscular efficiency in percentage presents a significant difference in favor of the adults. In conclusion, adult professional soccer players have an absolute maximum VO2 similar to youth soccer players; relative oxygen consumption is higher in young soccer players; but the maximum aerobic speed and muscular efficiency are once again higher in adult soccer players. © 2023 Authors. En conclusión, las formas de interacción utilizadas por el profesor tienen gran influencia sobre las percepciones del alumnado con relación a los estereotipos de género en el contexto de la EF.Ítem Relationship of direct and estimated oxygen consumption in the intermittent resistance Yo-Yo test in female professional soccer players(Universidad de Murcia, 2023) Cofré-Bolados, Cristian; Rosemblat, Marcelo; Barriga-González, Diego; Farias-Valenzuela, Claudio; Espoz-Lazo, Sebastián; Segales-Gill, DulceIn professional women's soccer there has been significant growth in recent decades, game analysis determines that distances between 8.5 and 10.3 km are covered, defining power and aerobic capacity as determining factors in the conditional physical profile of the players. The evaluation of aerobic power through maximum oxygen consumption (VO2max) is essential. The objective of this study was to compare the aerobic power determined by the Yo-Yo intermittent resistance test measured directly with a gas and metabolite analyzer v/s the calculation proposed by the Bansgbo estimation formula. The study methodology consisted in the evaluation of the Yo-Yo intermittent resistance test on the soccer field in 25 professional soccer players. The results of the study gave direct average relative values of 42.53 ml/kg-min and estimated VO2max of 41.96 ml/kg-min, without significant differences (p= 0.22). It is concluded that the Yo-Yo test and the Bansgbo formula are relevant for the estimation of aerobic power in professional Chilean soccer players. © 2023 Universidad de Murcia. All Rights Reserved.
