Ítem Examining 6th and 7th grade learner's perceptions of task-based language teaching: a case study(Universidad Andrés Bello, 2012) Rojas Alfaro, Nadia Carolina; Galaz Moraga, Mario Patricio; Veas Fáundez, Candy; Facultad de Humanidades y Educación; Escuela de EducaciónThis study aims to examine the perception of elementary students towards taskbased language teaching. Forty students from two different schools, twenty from Colegio Alborada del Mar and twenty from Colegio Nuestra Señora del Huerto, were exposed to an hour and half of three different tasks. The first task was an information-gap task, the second one was a reasoning-gap task and the third one was an opinion-gap task. Throughout the three tasks students were given a perception survey where they were told to consider these three elements; enjoyment, usefulness and participation. The study finding showed that 6th and 7th grade students would well receive the task-based approach to language teaching and would like to include it in their everyday classes.
