These techniques were chosen according to the students' needs considering the school's context and the classroom environments. Through this study, it is aimed to help teachers develop better class strategies in order to make students improve their attitude towards learning English as a foreign language in a public school. To accomplish the application of these techniques, and after gathering students' opinions and comments about the way they were learning English, we took part in teaching students throughout nine lessons. While the lessons were being developed, an improvement in students' behavior was shown. The implementation of the techniques helped students be more interested in learning English and have a positiva attitude towards the class. The results show that the influence of a teacher on students is important to maintain a proper class environment.
