The general objective of this research is to determine if the use of humorous resources in the EFL classroom might decrease anxiety levels in order to improve learners’ participation, and promote students’ oral production in English. The methodology used was qualitative research by implementing a class without the use of humorous resources, and a class with the use of humorous resources in five different grades. These classes were observed, so that psychologists and three English teachers could analyze the results. Findings showed that humor lowered anxiety levels in the classroom, increased students participation and oral production.
