The objective of this research was to analyze the level of physical activity, time on sedentary behaviors and the assessment of self-esteem. The total sample of this study was 46 students between 5th and 8th grade of Patmos School in the commune of Viña del Mar, of which 28 were girls and 18 were boys. To measure the level of physical activity the YAP-SL questionnaire was used, to analyze time in sedentary behaviors the IPAQ-A questionnaire for adolescents was used and for the assessment of self-esteem the Rosenberg scale was used. It was found that the vast majority of students do not meet the minimum levels of physical activity, being the physical education class where they reported greater frequency and intensity of movement (3.97 ± 0.85). Within the sedentary behaviors, it was determined that the most used device was the cell phone. In the case of gender differences, men spent more hours using video games (3.66 ± 1.32) and women used cell phones (3.5 ± 1.2). As for self-esteem, 30% reported low self-esteem, 22% had medium self-esteem, and 48% had high self-esteem. Nevertheless, low selfesteem prevailed to a greater extent in the female population, and high self-esteem in the male gender. These results are relevant to decision-making within the educational establishment, where comprehensive education plans for the physical and mental health of students during the pandemic should be complemented.
