| dc.description.abstract | El propósito del presente trabajo es la revisión y análisis de conocimientos sobre la deformación mandibular fisiológica y sus implicancias en pacientes rehabilitados con prótesis fija total sobre implantes. Se revisaron estudios desde la década del sesenta hasta los mas recientes trabajos realizados en sujetos rehabilitados con prótesis fija total sobre implantes. La deformación mandibular es un fenómeno complejo, multifactorial, que para facilitar su estudio se ha dividido en distintos patrones de deformación todos muy complejos de evaluar. De ellos solo la convergencia medial, la rotación corporal y la torsión dorsoventral han sido evaluados en seres humanos. Los valores obtenidos de deformación son muy variados tanto entre los distintos estudios, como al comparar sujetos de un mismo estudio. Esto se explicaría por la cantidad de variables individuales involucradas. La deformación mandibular genera tensiones en los distintos niveles del sistema tales como hueso, interfase hueso-implante, componentes protésicos. En el comportamiento de nuestras rehabilitaciones en el tiempo es desconocida la importancia del efecto de dichas tensiones. | es |
| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study is to review and analyze the knowledge about the effects of functional mandibular deformation on the treabnent of edentulous mandibular subjects with full-arch fixed prostheses supported by osseointegrated implants. The mandibular deformation is a complex phenomena; all the studies showed the existence of very different an complex elastic deformation pattems. However, of these pattems, only the medial convergence, dorsoventral shear and corporal rotation were measured in the human mandible. The results obtained were very varied between the different studies, like comparing from subjects to subjects of the same studies. The large range of results in the various investigations is probably attributable to individuals variations in the subjects tested. The mandibular deformation could generate stresses, they may be potentially harmful to the interfaces between the implants and bone and the various components of the implant superstructure. The effects of these torces are unknow yet in the behaviour of our treabnents thru time. | |
