Resumen
El presente artículo tiene por objetivo central analizar la relación entre los hábitos de lectura de
los alumnos de tercer año básico y su calidad y velocidad lectora. Para esto se utilizaron las
pruebas estandarizadas de dominio lector de la fundación Arauco.
A través de este estudio se pretende dar respuesta a la interrogante acerca de la diferencia entre
alumnos de un mismo nivel y su distinto desempeño lector, proponiendo como hipótesis que los
alumnos con mayor velocidad y calidad lectora tienen un hábito lector inculcado y desarrollado
en el hogar, mientras el resto de los alumnos no. La información obtenida para este artículo se
obtuvo a través de entrevistas a alumnos y apoderados.
En cuanto a los resultados obtenidos, se puede destacar el aporte a la valoración del fomento del
hábito lector en el hogar desde la temprana edad, sabiendo que es vital para el buen desarrollo
del dominio lector en el futuro escolar y personal de una persona.
This article’ central objective is to analyze the relationship between the reading habits of students in third grade and their quality and speed reading. For this, there were used reading standarized tests of the Arauco`s Foundation. Through this study we aim to answer the question about the difference between students of the same level and different reading performance, proposing a hypothesis that students with higher reading speed and quality have a reading habit inculcated and developed at home while other students do not. The information obtained for this article was obtained through interviews with students and parents. As for the results, you can highlight the contribution to the assessment of promoting reading habits at home from an early age, knowing that it is vital for the proper development of the reading skills in the school future and personal of people.
