Resumen
El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la representación literaria de los pueblos
originarios en Chile, contextualizándolo a través de un corpus literario concentrado en
libros ilustrados infantiles por parte de la Colección “Pueblos Originarios” de la
Editorial Amanuta. Para ello, la investigación se centró en la revisión del corpus pasando
esencialmente por el grado de congruencia que sus elementos pueden aportar para
extrapolar las características inherentes de estas culturas ancestrales, analizándolos en
base a una serie de criterios estructurales definidos según formato y contenido; lo cual
ayudará a dilucidar el tratamiento actual empleado con respecto a la temática indígena
en Chile y la manera el cual se transmite esta hacia sus lectores.
The aim to this paper is to analyze the literary representation of Chile’s indigenous people and their communities, contextualized through a literary corpus contained in children’s illustrated book collection “Pueblos Originarios”, by Editorial Amanuta. In order to accomplish this objective, this research was focused on the revision of the already mentioned corpus, emphasizing essentially on the degree of congruence that these elements are able to provide in order to extrapolate the inherent features of these ancient cultures, and analyzing them based on a series of structural criteria defined according to format and content; both of these can help to elucidate the current treatment used in relation to indigenous topics and the manner how these are conveyed to their readers.
