RESUMEN: El propósito de este estudio fue analizar los efectos de un protocolo de
ejercicio de fuerza localizado en miembro inferior de pacientes sometidos a un
tratamiento de hemodiálisis, cuantificando los cambios en su capacidad de
trabajo muscular y tolerancia al esfuerzo físico. El protocolo se aplicó a 13
pacientes, con una edad mínima de 31 y una máxima de 86 años. El grupo
ejecuó el programa durante las 2 primeras horas de la hemodiálisis, en 12.62 ±
0.86 sesiones, las que fueron personalizadas y supervisadas durante toda la
investigación. Los cambios en la capacidad de trabajo y tolerancia al esfuerzo
fueron cuantificados con el test de caminata de 6 minutos (6MWT) y el test de
pararse y sentarse de 10 repeticiones (8T81 O). En los resultados obtenidos se
observó un aumento de los metros recorridos en el 6MWT con una media inicial
de 367.76 ± 70.02 metros en comparación a los 398.23 ± 79.10 metros luego
del entrenamiento, con una diferencia significativa (p < 0.05) de 30.46 metros.
Por otro lado el 8T810 presentó 25.65 ± 7.24 segundos en comparación a los
19.15 ± 4.92 segundos luego de la aplicación del protocolo, lo que genera una
diferencia significativa (p < 0.01) de 6.49 segundos. Con respecto a la
tolerancia al esfuerzo, se determinaron cambios en la frecuencia cardiaca en
reposo, pues al inicio del 6MWT, esta alcanzó 98.92 ± 15.94 latlmin en
comparación a los 90.15 ± 14.42 latlmin luego de la aplicación del protocolo de
ejercicios, lo que genero una diferencia significativa (p < 0.05) de 8.76 latlmin.

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of resistance exercise protocol located in the lower Iimb of patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment, quantifying the changes in muscle work capacity and exercise tolerance. The protocol was applied to 13 patients with· a mínimum age of 31 and a maximum of 86 years. The group executing the program during the first 2 hours of hemodialysis, 12.62 ± 0.86 sessions, which were customized and monitored throughout the investigation. Changes in work capacity and exercise tolerance test were quantified with the 6..minute walk (6MWT) and the test stand and sit for 10 repetitions (STS10). In the results showed an increase of the distance walked in the 6MWT with an initial mean of 367.76 ± 70.02 meters compared to 398.23 ± 79.10 meters after training, with a significant difference (p <0.05) of 30.46 meters. On the other hand presented STS10 25.65 ± 7.24 seconds compared to 19.15 ± 4.92 seconds after the application of the protocol, which generates a significant difference (p <0.01) of 6.49 seconds. The results aboye show that in hemodialysis patients with high levels of physical .inactivity and sarcopenia, only 12 workouts intradialytic of localized force, generate significant changes in work capacity and exercise tolerance, which certainly improves their quality of life.
