The Ministry of Education has ordered that the Citizen Participation axis, of the subject of History, Geography and Social Sciences, be considered as if it were a new subject, independently. Currently educational establishments are free to carry out this "subject" in the way they deem appropriate, a situation that, in general, translates into a traditional methodology of expository type, focused on the teacher, being inappropriate if we consider the needs and objectives which raises the axis, focusing mainly on skills and attitudes that should be promoted in students. Given the above, it is essential that the axis of citizen participation be exploratory, giving students the opportunity to discover, analyze and mainstream what they have learned. The present article postulates the need to propose a methodological alternative centered on the student as protagonist of his own learning, which stimulates the development of critical thinking through science education based on inquiry (ECBI Methodology), promoting in boys and girls between 6 and 7 years old, an active attitude that allows them to discover and understand the world that surrounds them. To carry out this research we proposed to intervene a first basic, using ECBI methodology to then contrast their results with those of a first basic using traditional methodology.
