Resumen
El sistema educativo chileno en los últimos treinta años, ha tenido una serie de reformas cuyo objetivo principal era mejorar la calidad de la educación impartida tanto por los colegios municipales como privados, preocupándose también de que el acceso a la educación sea equitativo para todos.
En este contexto, en la década de los 90’ se comenzó a implementar en los colegios de dependencia municipal un programa de integración escolar cuyo principal objetivo era ser un apoyo para aquellos estudiantes que presentan necesidades educativas especiales.
Sin embargo, desde la entrada en vigencia del programa de integración hasta nuestros días, no se han realizado estudios respecto a su funcionamiento y eficiencia y si cumple realmente su objetivo.
Debido a ello, el presente estudio busca dar a conocer el funcionamiento del programa de integración en base a la experiencia de cuatro adolescentes que presentan síndrome del cromosoma x frágil.
La investigación realizada corresponde a un estudio de carácter cualitativo, llevada a cabo entre agosto del año 2017 y junio del 2018. La unidad de análisis en estudio corresponde a cuatro familias y dos profesoras. Mediante entrevistas en profundidad, se buscó conocer como han sido las trayectorias de integración al sistema educativo chileno de adolescentes con síndrome x frágil.
The chilean educational system has undergone a number of reforms along the last thirty years, aimed at improving the quality of education and fairness of access to public and private schools in the country. Within this context, a school integration program was implemented in Chile during the 90´s, with the purpose of helping students with special educational needs, but since the program was established, no measures of the operation and efficency of the program have been done up to now. The current qualitative study, is a contribution to filling this gap, by reviewing how the integration program works, based on the experience of 4 young students with the x fragile chromosome sindrome. The field work was done during august 2017 and june 2018. In depth interviews to their families and to two teachers were implemented, aiming at knowing their integration path to the chilean educational system.
